About Ephunaro
Ephunaro is an independent editorial resource for Singapore businesses comparing cloud accounting software. We are not a software vendor, an implementation partner, or a reseller.
The coverage area
What we do
We publish comparisons and explainers covering cloud accounting, GST reporting, InvoiceNow readiness, bank reconciliation, and implementation support for the Singapore market. The coverage focuses on eight real options buyers come across, and each is described on its own terms — where it fits, and where it does not.
If you are forming a shortlist, start on the comparison page. If GST or InvoiceNow is your main constraint, the readiness page is faster. If you have already chosen a platform and need help getting live, the implementation page covers migration and support. Everything links back to the same editorial standard.
Independence
How we stay independent
We do not take payment for placement in a comparison, and we do not rank platforms by commercial arrangement. When we say a tool is a poor fit for a business type, we mean it.
Where public vendor material is thin, we note that rather than fill the gap with assumptions. Some vendors publish detailed help centres and release notes; others keep pricing behind a sales conversation and describe features only in broad strokes. That difference is worth knowing before you shortlist, because it tells you how much of the buying decision you can research on your own.
We also keep the two sides of a comparison separate. What a platform does today and what a roadmap slide promises are different claims, and a page that blends them is not much use when you are choosing software this quarter. If a feature changes, or a claim no longer holds, we want to hear about it through the contact page. Corrections are the main way a resource like this stays accurate.
The three rules we hold to
- No paid placement and no sponsored ranking order, in any comparison.
- Gaps in public vendor material get labelled as gaps, not filled with guesses.
- Reader corrections change the page, and the change is noted on the page.
Traceable claims
Our editorial standard
Every claim in our comparisons should be traceable to something the vendor publicly states or something we can verify. The strip below shows how that works in practice: on the left, what a page claims; on the right, where the claim comes from and what it leaves out.
The platform supports a feature the reader is asking about.
Backed by the vendor's own published help documentation, with the plan tier that includes it named. Where the feature sits on a higher tier, we say so.
The platform fits a particular kind of Singapore business.
Based on what the product is actually built to do, not on who it markets itself to. We name the business type and the reason it fits or does not.
A comparison table ranks one option above another.
Not published. We describe each platform on its own terms and leave the ranking to the reader, because the right answer depends on your filings, headcount and support hours.
A user count, rating, or adoption figure appears on the page.
Not published unless the vendor states it publicly and we can point to where. We do not invent metrics, ratings, or user counts to make a page look more researched.
We are uncertain about a detail.
Said plainly in the text, with what would settle it. Hedging with filler is worse than an honest gap, because it hides the question you may need to ask a vendor directly.
We describe what platforms do, not what they promise, and we flag the difference when it matters. No testimonials appear on this site that we cannot verify against a source we can name.
Local by design
Why Singapore specifically
Cloud accounting is a global product category, but the decisions are local. A comparison written for a global audience tends to skip that, which is why we do not.
GST reporting follows IRAS rules. InvoiceNow is a Singapore network, not a general e-invoicing label. Company registration runs through ACRA, and that step decides what your finance stack has to handle in its first month. Support hours matter in a specific time zone: a help desk that answers at 2am Singapore time is not the same as one that answers during your working morning, and the difference shows up in your first close.
Our coverage assumes a Singapore-registered business with Singapore filing obligations. That assumption shapes every page here — which compliance features we check first, which support arrangements we treat as practical, and which platforms we describe as a stretch for a small local team.
It also means we cover company incorporation as the first step rather than an afterthought. Founders registering a business here meet accounting software at the same moment they meet filing obligations, and the two decisions are easier to make together.
The desk
Who writes this
Ephunaro is run as an editorial project focused on the Singapore cloud accounting market. We read vendor documentation, follow local regulatory changes, and test our understanding against the real questions business owners ask — the ones that come up when someone is three weeks from a filing deadline and trying to work out whether their current tool will carry them through it.
We are not accountants and we do not give tax advice. For filing decisions specific to your company, work with a qualified professional. What we can do is make the software landscape legible: which platform is built for which kind of business, what each one expects you to bring, and where the gaps in public information sit.
That distinction matters to us. A resource that quietly slips into advice is not useful to anyone, because it hides the point where you need a professional opinion. We try to mark that line clearly on every page.
What we do not do
We do not sell software licences. We do not resell implementation hours. We do not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice. We do not publish sponsored rankings. And we do not present ourselves as a vendor we are comparing.
That last point is the one readers should hold us to. If something on this site reads like a sales pitch, that is a mistake, and we would rather fix it than defend it. The tell is usually a sentence that pushes you toward one product without saying what it costs you elsewhere.
When you contact a vendor through a link on our pages, nothing about that arrangement changes what we publish. We do not take payment for placement, and no platform has ever been written out of a comparison for declining to work with us.
Corrections
Corrections and contact
If you spot an error, a feature that has changed, or a claim that no longer matches the product, tell us. Corrections are the main way a resource like this stays accurate. The contact page carries our details, including a form for corrections and enquiries.

What to send us
The page
Which comparison or explainer you were reading, and the sentence or figure you believe is wrong.
The source
Where the correct information is published, if you have it — a help article, a release note, or a pricing page we can read.
The change
What the platform does now, and roughly when it changed, so we can date the correction instead of silently overwriting the old text.
Your context
Optional, but useful: the business type and platform you are working with, so we can check whether the issue is general or specific to your setup.
